About Me

My name is Fiona Farmer and I practice from a surgery attached to my home. This has the great advantage to you that I am the only podiatrist that you will see. I am also able to offer flexible appointment times.

I qualified in 1990 as a State Registered Chiropodist / Podiatrist. This was the requirement to work in the NHS. Nowadays we have to be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) who monitor ours, and other health professions. I am registered, and you can check this at www.hpc-uk.org.

During my 15 years experience in the NHS in Croydon I provided treatment and education for:

• Problems such as corns, callous and verrucae.
• Simple nail cutting, involuted, thickened or infected toenails.
• Ingrowing toenails through to nail surgery.
• Foot pain.
• People with diabetes and rheumatology.
• People with mental health problems and learning difficulties
• And many more!

By the time I left Croydon I was responsible for a team of podiatrists. I also had responsibility for the nail assessment and nail surgery clinics as well as the service for people with mental health and learning difficulties.

My main aim whilst working in Croydon was to provide a high standard of service to all our clients. Since then I have provided private treatments in a local GP surgery and have worked from home.

Now that I am working from home you can expect a relaxed but effective and professional service.
